As an added bonus, the doors to the stone tower will be opened and visitors will have a chance to see inside!

Guided tours will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Friends of Fort George Gift Shop or by phone (905-468-6621). The cost is $25 per adult, $15 for children (ages 6-16). Make sure to buy your tickets before they sell out!

Link of The Day - DSLR Dynamics (workshop)

Not really convinced about this one.

It's a 1 day workshop for DSLR Video put on by Planet5D  and taught by mitch (of planet 5D) & Barry Andersson (a DP I'm not familiar with).

I'm hesitant, because I'm not sure if it's going to show me new &/ better ways of doing things or is it  another "How to shoot Video" aimed at stills photographers that are trying out motion
(video).

There is nothing wrong with beginners workshops, their great, I loved the ones I attended.
It's just that I know how to use camera and use a picture style, and how to do dual system sound.  I have a slider, a shoulder rig & a (DIY) dolly.

I'm looking for how to get the most out of dual system sound, how to improve camera motion, & how to do it more efficiently. It doesn't seem clear that this workshop will give me that.

Check ti out and see what you think.

New Race Track Commercial

Just posted the commercial for this years 'circle the course' cancer walk.

It will be on the Fort Erie Race Track  website,  on our Tv braodcasts and it will run on the cogeco tv guide channel in the week leading up to the event.

Link of The Day - 70D Hands on test

The 70D is in stores and in the hands of people who want to be the first to use what has been touted as a reveloution in DSLR auto focus, especially for video.

Ok,  the hype hasn't been as big as the 5Diii,  but there ahs been a fair bit of talk about the new auto focus systwem, bigger sensor, and general improvments over the 60D.

Mitch at Planet 5D has done a  Hands on test test & "unboxing"  (never quite got unboxings).

I'm going to be watching for more info and waiting for "hello World" (magic lantern compatibility).

If things work out I could see this being my next body.

Link of The Day - Black Majic Pocket Camera

Not usually interested in Black Majic news,  but this is pretty cool.

The Black Majic Pocket Camera has started shipping,  but not in large quantities.

Heres the cool part,  they just sropped the price from $3000 to $2000 with davinci resolve 7 ultra scopes.

$2000 for 2.5K & Raw video right out of the box is hard to beat.
